The Clip-style blade is a multi-purpose blade for detail work. The Spey blade is an all-purpose utility blade. This knife is constructed with Carbon (CS) steel which has edge-holding ability and easy re-sharpening. Carbon steel is less resistant to rusting, pitting, and discoloration than stainless steel. Case recommends keeping a thin film of oil on the blade to maintain the finish. This ensures that your knife will be around for future generations to enjoy.
