OLD MILL OF GUILFORD

Built in 1767, the Old Mill of Guilford knows a bit about staying power. It’s still grinding grain into grits, meal, and flour the old-fashioned way with grindstones and water power. The important elements of the grain are still a part of the meal because they use millstones to do their grinding. While the grits and cornmeal are good, there are other items that make this mill notable, like their variety of mixes for muffins, pancakes, and gingerbread.
