BONUS PROGRAM

The Mast Store has a very generous Bonus Program* where all employees benefit. Each year, goals are set, and if they are reached through everyone's efforts, then a week's pay (based upon the average hours worked in the preceding quarter) is issued in January, April, and October. Historically, over the last 10 years, the bonuses paid have averaged from three to five weeks of extra pay for each employee.

 

*Employees must be actively employed on the date that the bonus is paid to be eligible to receive a bonus.

Referral BONUS PROGRAM

Because our current employees know people who would be good Mast Store employees, we offer a referral program to all existing employees. If the recommended employee is hired, the existing employee gets $100 in their next paycheck. When the new employee completes their 90-day introductory period, the referring employee gets an additional $200.

RETIREMENT PLANS

The Mast Store offers both part-time and full-time employees the opportunity to participate in the 401(k) plan (with employer match) and the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (employees earn stock shares through longevity of employment).

WELLNESS BENEFITS

To encourage employees to develop healthy habits, Mast Store has a wellness reimbursement program to cover expenses for gym memberships, smoking cessation, weight loss, etc. Amount based upon company profitability.

PAID TIME OFF

Work/Life balance is important, and time away from the job makes employees more productive and happier. Both full-time & part-time employees are eligible for PTO after six months of employment.

SHARED LEAVE PROGRAM

Our employees develop relationships with each other. In response to several inquiries, they are now able to share PTO with employees who are experiencing hardship and need more time away from work.

MATCHING GIFTS PROGRAM

We care about what you care about. Mast Store will match charitable donations to a wide array of educational institutions and non-profit groups.

MAST TRANSIT PROGRAM

To lessen our collective carbon footprint, employees are encouraged and rewarded for walking, cycling, carpooling, or taking public transportation to work.

PAID VOLUNTEER TIME

Giving back to the community is a core principle for the company. Employees can be paid to volunteer with their favorite non-profit group up to 8 hours each year (full-time) and 4 hours (part-time).

One of our most popular benefits, the employee discount, which is 25%, begins on your first day of employment. Other opportunities to take advantage of other special buys are offered throughout the year.

health Insurance

Full-time employees (averaging 30 hours/week) can join our group insurance plan. The cost of the plan is currently covered by the company. Dependent coverage is available through payroll deduction.

Life Insurance

To provide a little extra peace of mind for employees and their families in the event of an untimely death, Mast Store underwrites $150,000 in life insurance for its full-time staff members. Supplemental life insurance is also available.

disability insurance

Accidents and illnesses are a part of life. Mast Store provides both short-term and long-term disability insurance to its full-time employees to provide income replacement should the need arise.

health savings account

A health savings account allows full-time employees to put away funds, tax-free, for future qualifying healthcare needs. Participation is voluntary and helps stretch their invested dollars further for surgeries, glasses, etc.

Bereavement Pay

Dealing with the death of a loved one is difficult. Mast Store provides two days' paid leave for full-time employees to use for the death of an immediate family member.

jury duty

Serving as a juror is an important part of our civic duty. Full-time employees are compensated for their regular hours for up to two weeks when participating in this obligation.

Dependent care flexible spending

These accounts are helpful for parents or those taking care of dependents who are unable to care for themselves. Pre-tax dollars are saved for childcare, institutional care, transportation. It provides tax savings because it reduces taxable income.
