This gear repair patch is part of NOSO's ArtFix series. Created from original artwork by artist Katherine Homes, wear this patch to show your support for threatened animal species all around the world. This species was once widespread from the Arkansas River to the Platte, but now occupies less than 1% of its historical river range. It is currently listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. Mining in the native river basins leads to sediment and toxic runoff, which has led to the decline, along with overfishing and water diversion for agriculture.
