Meet @LandonTalks

Hailing from Laurel, Mississippi, Landon Bryant celebrates Southern culture across digital media, live performance, and writing. He has published two books – Bless Your Heart: A Field Guide to All Things Southern and ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, Y’all - with a third (How to Speak Southern) on the way. 

Landon started his social media @LandonTalks journey at the urging of his wife Kate, who was his childhood best friend, by the way. Since taking to the bits and bytes, his popularity has “grown into this beautiful community of people who may not always agree on everything but lead with kindness,” he shared in an interview with Canvas Rebel. 

He uses many of the skills garnered from his teaching career to do a deep dive into the salt or sugar on grits debate, the subtle nuances of the phrase “bless your heart,” and the community built through casserole dishes and front-porch sits sipping sweet tea. His podcast and social media accounts are full of nostalgia that will remind you of things you loved about visits at grandma’s and maybe a few elements for thoughtful reflection on how we really do have a shared future and where we can find common ground. 

Landon made his Grand Ole Opry debut on April 22 and is currently touring the East Coast, connecting people through authentic storytelling.
