GREENVILLE, SC – Mast General Store will honor the upcoming birthday of American music and cultural icon Dolly Parton with a RoundUP 4 a Cause campaign in support of community arts.
Dolly, who’s renowned for decades of unforgettable performances on stage, screen, and in studio, never neglected her roots despite having reached heights familiar to only a few world-famous entertainers. Her legendary career proves that every artist’s journey begins with the resources, training, and encouragement they receive at home.
All Mast Store locations will ask guests to RoundUP to the next dollar, January 12 – 18, in support of partnering local groups who enrich and inspire us, tell stories that connect us and deepen our sense of cultural identity, and, perhaps even, enable the next generation’s “Dolly” to make their way to the big time.
The Greenville Mast Store will RoundUP in support of South Carolina Children’s Theatre. This group empowers and inspires a new generation of changemakers through the art of theater. By providing acting and theater design classes to children of all ages and partnering with local schools to establish residences and support literacy programs, SCCT engages communities across the Upstate and cultivates creative and collaborative skills in children.
Mast Store’s RoundUP 4 a Cause campaigns have been successful fundraisers for a wide variety of the family- and employee-owned company’s local nonprofit partners. Recent focuses include Hurricane Helene relief as well as children’s food security programs and conservation initiatives.
Support for community-based arts organizations and programming has been a pillar of the Mast Store’s giving under its ownership by the Cooper family since 1980.
“Vibrant communities have vibrant people. Vibrant people are found in the arts,” Faye Cooper, co-founder of the Mast Store, affirmed. The Mast Store believes that an active arts scene is an important component of a thriving community.
All funds raised in support of these local groups during Mast Store’s RoundUP are attributed to the small donations of guests who agree to round their purchase to the next whole dollar. When combined, these pennies, nickels, and dimes go a long way toward making our communities healthier, safer, and more vibrant.
