There was so much work to be done and so many neighbors in need that it felt like we were standing at the bottom of an enormous summit— an intimidating climb ahead of us. Now, a year later, we see that what was truly awe-inspiring was the incredible efforts of our beloved community, both literally local and those that held us in their hearts and helped us with their hands, to rebuild every home and holler.
