BIRKENSTOCK

Birkenstock

In 1774, Johann Birkenstock was listed on the census as "subject and shoemaker." His knowledge was passed down generation to generation with each making its own improvements and changes. Konrad Birkenstock developed the first contoured arch support in 1902. Support and comfort are hallmarks of the Birkenstock brand! The United States finally discovered these heritage shoes in 1966.

Improvements are continuous, including changes that protect the environment and conserve energy. The more things change, the more they remain the same - like the peerless comfort of the Birkenstock footbed.
