Each first Friday evening beginning at 5:30 pm, enjoy an evening stroll through Downtown Boone to the many galleries and meet friends for dinner at one of several restaurants. Polar Plunge for Special Olympics
The tenth annual Polar Plunge benefiting Watauga County Special Olympics will be held at the Appalachian State University duck pond off Rivers Street. Hundreds of spectators gather to watch costumed plungers. Call Karen Poteat at 828-264-9511 for more information.
