The Rain Shadow fulfills a fundamental need when afternoon clouds turn angry: waterproof/breathable protection. It's made of a compressible and light, 2.5 layer tear resistant nylon fabric, with a Deluge DWR durable water repellent finish and a raised internal diffusion pattern that slides easily over layers and channels moisture away from skin. With pit zips and a roll down, 2 way adjustable hood that's helmet compatible. Sealed seams draw a hard line between you and the wet weather. Hook and loop wrist closures, lightweight water resistant zippers and internal and external pocketing add to the finer points. Allows for thicker underlayers.
