Celebrate Two Waynesville Fall Traditions
Trees are aflame with fall leaves, apples are being harvested and the frost is on the pumpkin… all signs that it’s time for two beloved Waynesville traditions: The 23rd Annual Apple Harvest Festival and Mast General Store’s Tent Sale.
On Saturday, October 15th from 10 a.m until 5 p.m., 35,000 people are expected to stroll down Main Street Waynesville for the Apple Harvest Festival. Enjoy the backdrop of picturesque Western North Carolina mountains as you celebrate everything apples. Handmade crafts, local food and continuous live entertainment will delight even the most seasoned visitor during the 23rd annual celebration. Entertainment will include local mountain music and clogging performances. Don’t forget to take home a peck of locally grown apples, warm yourself with hot apple cider, and enjoy everyone’s favorite treat, fresh fried apple pie.
If you’ve forgotten your gloves, need a warm fall fleece, or would like to enjoy the festival in a pair of new comfortable shoes, swing by Mast General Store for our Annual Tent Sale. The event takes place Friday and Saturday, October 14th and 15th, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and concludes Sunday, October 16th, noon to 6 p.m. This year, we’re offering many items at spectacular prices. $300 leather jackets are now $150, flannel-lined jeans were $55, now $27.50. With the upcoming winter weather, it’s the perfect time to pick up waterproof and breathable jackets, fleece, and vests all at 50% off the regular price. Clarks, Chaco, Born, Woolrich, and Columbia: you’ll find these and many other name brands with significant savings.
We look forward to celebrating the fall harvest of apples (and savings!) this weekend in Waynesville. See you there!
