Vendor Food Fair
A Lip-Smackin',
Food-Samplin Soiree
At the Little Red Schoolhouse
July 24-25
Join us on July 24 and 25 at the Little Red Schoolhouse behind the Original Store in Valle Crucis for the ultimate try-before-you-buy event – our Vendor Food Fair. Fifteen vendors who help stock our shelves with tasty “country gourmet” foods will be on hand to share information and recipes while sampling their products.
Try Mrs. Picky Fanicky's MmmMarmalades. She's recommended as a “must eat” stop when visiting Erwin in Harnett County by Our State magazine. Get ready for tailgate season with a stop by Grendeddy Dave's table. His BBQs and rubs will make your pre-game spread the envy of others in the area!
For some local flavor, sample the Sledgehammer Sauce, straight from the creativity of a former employee and his restaurant, Sledgehammer Charlie's over in Blowing Rock. Mmmmm!
For those of you with a hankerin' for some fudge, the nice folks from SugarRush are happy to oblige.
And for the first time, we are sampling goodies for our four-legged friends from Dancin' Doggies Crunchers. Bring Fido along for his opinion. These are so good you might want to sample them, too (they are regionally made of human-grade ingredients).
Other vendors include Muddy Pond Sorghum, D'vine Ciders, Gourmet Gardens, Walden Creek Jellies, Phillips Brothers Country Ham, Sunflower Food and Spice, Charleston Tea, Smoky Mountain Tea, Manning Farms, and Gourmet Village.
Don't forget to enter your name in the drawing for a food gift basket. Vendors will be available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on both days. For more details, call 828-963-6511.
